A couple of playground visits. Robin still tends to sleep through those a lot - morning ones are often at the same time as he wants a nap, and afternoon ones might hit that same issue too.

Visiting Luke. It's a grownup conversation, with another couple of Transition Towns people about the possibility of a community greenhouse. Luke designs and builds food forest gardens for people and is working his way towards managing what is effectively a distributed urban farm by linking up the different people he does gardens for so that they can share their crops. While I chat in fascination, Robin is peacefully looking around at this strange new house and watching the dog.

We're at the IVF clinic, and I'm having a counselling session in preparation for donating eggs. They talk you through a lot of potential issues. One of the questions is whether you'd tell your own children about having donated, and about their probable half-genetic-siblings out there somewhere. I guess technically Robin isn't old enough yet to remember long term, but he has come along to every session with me so far and heard all about it -grin-. It's not something I would have planned to keep secret regardless.

A mothers' group visit, we're at Rochelle's house and Robin is fascinated by all the new surroundings. He was really quite chilled out on the pipe-mat.

So chilled out, he fell asleep when I put him on the table for a minute. I was standing right there, so he was safe enough (especially as he's nowhere near rolling yet), and this rug was just nice and comfy. I love how relaxed he looks, with the arms spreadeagled.

I think it was Ruth we met at Tumbles for a playdate to keep the two toddlers active and worn out. Robin found the environment worth looking at, though he did sleep for a lot of it.

A mothers' group visit at Ruth's house. Sparrow and Willow are playing "tea" together, for some value of together, and Robin is vaguely interested by all the stuff happening near his head. I would be more worried if the objects were heavier, but the girls were pretty contained and not forceful (for a change).

At the library for Storytime. This is Ruth's daughter Henrietta. She's exactly a week older than Robin. Her sister Willow is also the closest in age to Sparrow out of our mothers' group. Ruth and I were taking turns watching the small ones and watching the less-small ones during the Storytime activities. Mostly Ruth was with the babies and I was with the girls, but it did vary. We got some gorgeous pictures of them together. I'm going to get one of these and put it with the one I have of Sparrow and Willow lying together at about the same age and give it to them. I think they'll be amused.

Walking with Mummy. I forget where we were. Somewhere.
