We went on a drive to Denmark and to tour around a few places. The puzzle shop wasn't open, but the cheese factory was and so was the alpaca farm. So we had a lovely afternoon looking at lots of different animals. Sparrow slept through about half of it, but had a good time anyhow. Here are some pictures from the day.

At the Cheese Factory, waiting for our cheese platter lunch to arrive. I also bought some wonderful blueberry fudge and some delicious feta cheese and fromage, and managed to resist their interesting icecreams and sorbets.

We've arrived at the animal farm. Hello, Koala.

OK, Sparrow, this is what happens when you try to feed goats.

Alpacas!

More alpacas!

Rabbits and guinea pigs...

Kangaroos...

Who is Daddy trying to feed here?

This fine fellow.

Though it's a little hard not to get your hand totally slobbered on in the process. Sparrow will get to discover this for herself when she is just a little bigger.

James has just discovered that letting an emu peck food out of your hand hurts. So I thought I'd be very clever, pull the sides of my bag down and let them peck out of the bag instead of my hand.

You can see how well this worked. They just picked up the whole bag out of my hand and took it to their side of the fence. James thought this was quite funny.

The horse paddock. Sparrow had given up trying to stay awake, so she still hasn't encountered horses. That will come later, I'm quite sure.

The view down the hillside. It was a lovely walk down to the little dam at the bottom and back up around. Denmark really is pretty with its forests and hills.

Back in Denmark itself, having a late-afternoon snack break and sitting by The Fig Tree.
