Asleep in the Big Bed. She looks so tiny tucked into the corner there. She slept in the porta-cot some of the time, but was with us a lot of the time too.

Change mat time, with her little Michelin Man legs still. And a big pile of toys all ready for her delight. Mostly stuffed ones so while I showed them to her at times she didn't get terribly excited by most of them.

One of the toys Maggie had put out was this little ball with bells inside it. Sparrow loved it - so easy to grab and hold, she could hold it with her feet or her hands, and it made all kinds of great noises as she handled it. She consistently had a great time with it and was surprisingly good at picking it up and manipulating it. Godzilla next to her was one of the toys I offered her that she wasn't too unimpressed by. Dinosaurs and monsters are a possibility, I guess.

And this is Norman Ted. He was James' teddy when James was small, and now he's been handed on. Sparrow is intrigued. Though James' comment was "I don't remember him having clothes..." -grin-.

Kermit was also fun too - long arms and legs that she could grab onto and swing around. Though that didn't increase the interest by a great deal. She's very consistent about the types of toys she likes, and ones that you cuddle don't seem to interest her yet.

Just woken up after a sleep, giving me cute smiles and making "pick me up" arm signals. She got a bit impatient that I was still taking photos of her and not picking her up straight away.

Posing in one of the new dresses Oma made for her. Maggie said "It has just enough pink on it for you to know she's a girl". I resisted saying that any clothes Sparrow had would get worn by our next child if we had one, regardless of what gender it was, and just contented myself with thinking that putting pink on a dress is superfluous in the girliness stakes. It's a nice little dress though, I do love her in blue.

Time with Grandad.

James, Sparrow and Maggie having conversation.

On the blanket in the other of her new knitted dresses, complete with toys. This combination has such a "spring" feel, it's lovely.

Looking at family photos - these are Sparrow's great-grandparents. I think that's Gordon's mother by the signpost, then Maggie's father and mother in the double frame, but I'm not sure.

More old photos, including several of Gordon's father that the three of them are poring over.
