Oma and Grandad come to visit, 7-12 May, 2010

Back to part 1 - Back to index

Monday dinner on Lygon St. I discovered that I LLLOOOOVVVVEEEE meatballs. Mum ordered three and I ate about a whole one by myself. They were big and tasty. Italian food is great because it's got so much sauce, I kept finding new plates of sauce to dip my hands into. Especially when Daddy tried to wipe my hands. Every time he got one clean I'd get it into the sauce again while he was doing the other one.

On Tuesday we went to the Planetarium. I thought the Planetarium was really fascinating but I had to lie on Mum's tummy and hold on really tight because I kept feeling like I was going to fall off into the sky. Afterwards we looked around Scienceworks for a little bit. There were lots of kids to watch playing with stuff.

I got to play at the big building block table.

Oma and Grandad helped.

This is fun!

I said, No Hats!

No nappy, WooHoo!!!!
(I was a bit sore after those meatballs came out the other end.)

Is it cup of tea time for me too?

It might be bedtime, but it still takes two of you grownups to get me dressed. Never Surrender!

Never Surrender!

More photos? Does that mean I'm going to get dressed in something else new? By the way, where are those two grandparents of mine? Are we going to go get them now? Now? Now? (I tell Mum all these things with great seriousness, but I'm not sure she gets the message.)

That's a yes on the clothes then. Quick, I'm out of here. (This hat's not too bad though, I might keep it.)

Look! Oma bought me new boots! They are soft-soled and fur-lined, warm and comfy, and they stay on pretty well if Mum puts them on right. I haven't had shoes before.

Awww, is it time for you to go already?

Well, you're not buggering off until I've finished drinking your chai latte. All that froth, can't let it go to waste.

Airports mean saying hello and goodbye to people. Especially strange men at the next couch who are really interesting because they have less hair than I do. I don't know how to wave "bye bye" yet, so Oma is helping.
